tripleeyemusic is an independent record company that focuses on giving fans what they want -- free music! thanks to the Internet, we can eliminate many of the huge costs involved with running a major record company and in doing so we create more revenue for the bands while saving our fans time and money. we will eliminate the need for manufacturing, distribution companies and ticket agencies which will save us all!

before the Internet it was impossible for an independent record company to be competitive in the industry but that is definitely a thing of the past. it will not be easy but if we work together it is amazing what we can do!

major record companies will ask you to "sell your soul to make a record", not only will a deal with TripleEye Music keep your karma in good standing, every step we take will make it that much easier for musicians in the future to do the same. this is not just a record company with a great idea it is a record company with a wonderful cause.

the basic idea is to give most of our music away for free over the Internet. the record company and the bands will make money by selling membership access to the band's webpage and through the selling of tickets for live shows and concerts. access to the band's webpage will be limited to members only where they will find hot new releases, live video footage, interaction with the band as well as members only merchandise, plus so much more. this will guarantee that we only make money off of our true fans. interested fans will be able to download and share sample music free of charge and we will only ask for their money when they truly love the music. only when a fan would like access to the latest new release music, special members only extended versions, members only video content and ticket sales (which will only be available to online members), will we be asking for their money.

bands who join together with TripleEye Music will not have their CDs sold in record stores across the country or anywhere in the world! bands will work with TripleEye music because they do not want to be a part of the traditional marketing strategies of the corporate monsters. artists who work with TripleEye music realize that their music is so good that it sells itself and they do not need to have their flashy CD cover tempting record store shoppers. we don't feel comfortable making a profit off of people who were not actually sure if they were going to enjoy the whole album when they purchased it. we want our fans to be sure that they love our music before they give us any of their money and we see no reason to waste the plastic and manufacturing or the fuel needed to distribute, when our fans can simply download the music straight from our website. musicians who join together with TripleEye music realize that the traditional means of manufacturing and distributing CDs, to be sold through record stores, is soon to be a thing of the past. we realize that we are pioneers in the next big step of the evolution of music!

for the skeptical mind, allow me to explain... most musicians in this day and age realize that very little money is actually made from records sales -- out of the $10-$20 a fan has to pay for the CD at the record store only a dollar makes it back to the band and this is because most of the money is gobbled up with multiple interests taking a cut, plus manufacturing costs and distribution costs. it has been very well-known for a long time that the real money in music is made when a band tours and we have even figured out a way to make more money doing that. so if we charge a $20 membership fee we only need 1 in 20 fans to join the membership in order to make the same amount that you would through traditional means. in other words if 19 people listen to your music for free and never give you a cent and only one person buys a membership you will make the same amount of money as if all 20 purchased your album. a $20 membership would only be good for one year with a substantially higher membership fee for lifetime membership. only members will have access to ticket sales for live shows and this will guarantee that true fans pay a membership fee. membership pricing will not necessarily be set at $20 per year, this is just something we are considering at this time. this is a very basic outline for the record company and website design and we expect things to change and grow with time.

once the band has reached a certain point in their career, we will not be going through any ticket agency, therefore, the income potential for a touring band will be substantially higher. every fan who becomes a member will be given their own TripleEye Music card that is similar to a credit card and will be used to gain access to live shows and concerts. when a fans favorite band is playing in their home town all they have to do is log into the members section of that band and pay for a maximum of two admissions to the next show, they bring their card to the show, swipe it like a credit card, enjoy the show and save the card to be used again for another TripleEye Music show. not only will this increase revenue for the band it will also eliminate scalping so that our fans can enjoy the show at a price that we feel is reasonable. in the beginning, most groups will have to use ticket agencies. until the band increases in popularity it would be a good idea to use the most convenient method for selling tickets. once our voice gets louder and our pull is stronger, it will be relatively easy for us to implement our own ticket agency, especially when you consider how awesome it will be without scalpers marking up the prices!
