i have been writing, recording, performing and producing my own music for over 15 years. i've played in a few bands that you probably would not recognize, although we did somehow manage to play numerous gigs at most of the popular venues throughout Toronto and Vancouver, including such venues as the Horseshoe Tavern, the Opera House, the Starfish Room and Richards on Richards (just to name a few). I have recorded a few albums at Cherry Beach studios in Toronto as well as a few albums in Turtle Studios in Vancouver. for one of our best recording sessions we rented hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of equipment and set it up in our house for a couple of months -- the same amount of money that it would cost for two weeks in a studio and we got two months with 24-hour access -- a great idea! for the last few years i have been writing and recording music as a solo musician -- it is amazing what we can do with computers nowadays!

my name is glenn aum, i am 33 years old and i have been singing for over 8 years. (i used to sing when i was younger but nothing serious) my vocals are confident with strong emotion and unique with passion. my lyrics are deep with meaning, extremely creative and new age ~ lyrics about karma, consciousness, enlightenment, politics and personal freedoms, money, tax, dept, law, morality, cruelty, innocent victims, environment and evolution, and most importantly, family, love, health, healing, feeling and growing. i would be interested in singing someone else's lyrics as long as i have room to contribute creatively as well. i have years of live, studio and jamming experience. i have been writing my own music since the beginning and i am almost completely self taught. i play by feel and know very little theory. my lyrics are easy to understand with a good message although sometimes a little interpretation may be necessary. i have lots of material and i am always writing.

in addition to your musical abilities i am also looking for good friends and business partners. creating music in a small group requires a certain amount of intimacy! I will not work closely with any musician that I cannot be good friends with. We must be able to trust each other completely. I will not settle and work with people who are not capable of sustaining a mature adult relationship, both professionally and socially. this might be why it has been a few years now without any projects on the go, aside from my solo project, my standards are very high.

it is not necessary that you have the same influences that i do but you must respect where i am coming from ~ my influences include but are not limited to (and i dont sound like anyone but myself)~ the beatles, moe., ratdog/grateful dead, the string cheese incident, bob marley, tool, faith no more, pink floyd, queens of the stone age, finger eleven, led zeppelin, nine inch nails, sublime, jimi hendrix, a perfect circle, marilyn manson, nirvana, foo fighters, aerosmith, alice in chains, etc... etc... etc...
